Lindsey Cloud
Lindsey Cloud helps attorneys become more effective communicators by drawing on her backgrounds in theatre and law. Her unique approach helps lawyers set aside self-consciousness and communicate with clarity and authenticity — whether in a courtroom or a conference room. Lindsey believes the most persuasive lawyers aren't the loudest or the most polished; they're the ones who sound like themselves at their very best.
Before law school, Lindsey spent nearly a decade as an actor and musician in New York City. Drawing on principles of theatre — storytelling, active listening, body language, and stage presence — she helps lawyers communicate with confidence without feeling scripted. As co-lead of KNP Communications' legal training practice since 2014, she designs and delivers communication skills programs for Am Law 100 firms and top legal practices. Having represented clients in both criminal and civil litigation, she understands firsthand the challenges lawyers face at every level.
Today, Lindsey is a Distinguished Lecturer at The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where she teaches Trial Practice and serves as Director of the National Mock Trial Team. She was named Adjunct Professor of the Year in 2024.
Lindsey earned her J.D., cum laude, from Catholic Law, where she was selected as Commencement Speaker for the Class of 2012, and holds a B.F.A. in Theatre Performance from Miami University.
